The Whidbey Sun & Wind Team
Paul Dickerson, Owner/Principal, grew up in Port Townsend and graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Automotive Design. He was part of WWU's solar car racing team that raced across the US and Australia in 1990 and 1991. Paul has held engineering positions at Boeing and Starbucks Coffee, and also has a significant amount of experience in the construction industry. Paul is a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional. Paul owned and operated his own home inspection business for seven years.
Operations Manager Paul Poechlauer joined the WSW team in 2018 after six years as a CO2 laser engineer. Paul moved to Whidbey Island in 2012 to begin his transition to living a more sustainable lifestyle. He and his wife Sara built their own small, straw-bale house outside of Langley, including a solar water heating system. Paul is excited to develop his knowledge and skills with all types of renewable energy, and is eager to help others achieve their goals of implementing their own renewable energy projects. Outside of WSW Paul is mainly engaged with completing his house build, continually expanding his garden, and tinkering on various projects around the homestead.
Electrician Kyle Collins, born and raised on a roof in South Whidbey, has a strong appreciation for the beauty he grew up with. After spending some time on an off-grid farm, he fell in love with the lifestyle. Currently he aspires to achieve self-sustainability and finds joy in creatively helping others reach their own goals of sustainability. He took the Grid-tied PV SEI course and moved back to Whidbey to start his family farm. When he's not on a roof, in the shop or on the farm, he spends his time with loved ones, usually playing some guitar wherever he ends up.
Installer and Electrician Josh Robinson, has worked for Whidbey Sun & Wind since 2020. Josh grew up just a few miles down the road from WSW and has been interested in solar and renewable energy, both as a way to decrease reliance on fossil fuels and as a cost effective way to localize energy production. When he isn't working he spends his spare time on anything with a motor and doing projects at his home.

Electrician Golda Moore works her magic with the wiring for each installation. Golda started her electrical training as a teenager with her father Lance, who is involved with commercial installations for WSW. She is a licensed residential journey electrician, a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional, and has worked on many residential/grid-tied installs and commercial and battery back-up projects. “It has been my pleasure working for Whidbey Sun and Wind. Each of us as individuals have had experience in different areas, and have been able to offer this knowledge to the team, and because of that feel valuable. We learn from one another, which makes us a stronger.” Golda has done work in Africa with NGO Solar Aid, doing upgrades and installs for a school, clinic, and community center. In her spare time, Golda also writes curriculum for, and teaches continuing education courses for electricians and electrical trainees, including Photovoltaics and Code Update courses. When she is not on the job Golda likes to swim, bike, run, garden, travel, hike, and laugh and make others do the same.
Patricia M. Ohoma has been the Office Manager for WSW since August 2018. She moved to Whidbey Island in October 2015 from Pennsylvania where she was born and raised. She received degrees in both Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies from Westmoreland County Community College. Artistic by nature, she designs and sells unique, handmade greeting cards and mixed media art locally under the name My Fairy Card Mother. Patricia came to WSW after working in various admin and customer service jobs on the Island. She currently works remotely and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her cat, Skye, dancing with friends, nature photography, baking, being creative, and music.
Electrician, Installer, and Project Manager Adam Wundrow, has worked for Whidbey Sun & Wind since 2011. He first moved to Whidbey Island in 2008, he spent six months living in the Maxwelton Creek Cohousing Community in a straw-bale house. There he discovered renewable energy in practice among the households which included passive solar heating, solar water heating, hydronic in-floor heating, and photovoltaic electricity. Later in 2010 he was able to spend three weeks on Orcas Island at the Bullock’s Permaculture Homestead while taking a permaculture design course. There he learned even more about renewable energy and ecological design. He has since been very eager to learn more and to put concepts and ideas he has learned into practice. Adam currently lives on a small biodynamic farm on South Whidbey and enjoys hiking, climbing, and spending time with his two boys, Ian and Ezra.
