Snohomish County PUD Incentives
Whidbey Sun & Wind is a registered installer for the Snohomish County PUD "Solar Express" Program. All projects must be pre-approved by SnoPUD in order to recieve these incentives.
Residential
SnoPUD is offering financial incentives or access to 2.9% interest loans to residential customers that install qualifying photovoltaic (PV) and solar hot water systems.
- Residential PV: Residential customers can receive a cash incentive of $500 per installed kW, up to $2,500, for new PV systems. Alternately, customers may choose to apply for a 2.9% APR loan of up to $25,000 to finance the installation instead of the cash incentive.
- Residential Solar Hot Water: Residential customers who meet program eligibility criteria can receive a cash incentive of $500 per installed solar water heating system. Alternately, customers may choose to apply for a 2.9% APR loan of up to $14,000 to finance the system instead of the cash incentive.
Commercial
The PUD offers financial incentives to commercial and industrial customers that install photovoltaic (PV) or solar hot water systems.
- Commercial PV: Customers can receive a cash incentive of $500 per installed kilowatt (kW), up to $10,000, for systems installed after March 26, 2009. To be eligible for the incentive, photovoltaic systems must be tied to the PUD electrical grid with a net metering agreement.
- Commercial Solar Hot Water: Customers who currently use electricity to heat their water can receive a cash incentive of $500 per installed solar hot water system.
